Rolling Together Revue tour – G. Love & Special Sauce, Donavon Frankenreiter and Moon Taxi

 G. Love & Special Sauce is an American Hip-Hop Blues band known for its unique fusion of hip-hop, blues, funk, & soul. Formed in 1993 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the band originally featured Garrett Dutton, aka G. Love, as the lead vocalist & guitarist, Jeffrey Clemens on drums, & Jim Prescott on bass. The trio quickly gained attention for their laid-back, groovy style & G. Love’s unique vocal delivery, blending rap-like spoken word with bluesy singing. Their debut self-titled album, G. Love & Special Sauce, was released in 1994 on Epic Records & included the hit single “Cold Beverage,” which became popular on alternative radio stations & MTV, solidifying their presence in the music scene. The band’s style has been described as a mix of slacker blues & alternative hip-hop, as they frequently incorporate elements of 90s hip-hop beats with classic blues rhythms. Known for their energetic live performances, G. Love & Special Sauce has played at festivals like Bonnaroo & Lollapalooza. Garrett Dutton also frequently collaborates with other artists, including Jack Johnson, with whom he shares a similar vibe, & has released solo projects that dive deeper into his blues influences. G. Love & Special Sauce remains a beloved name in the music scene, blending genres in a way that feels fresh & authentic. Once again ready to push the boundaries of their genre, Nashville based indie alt-rock band Moon Taxi is back with their sixth full length album, Set Yourself Free. With tracks ranging from rock to synth to pop to bluegrass, the new lineup showcases what 15 years as a band gets you: a polished, classic sound without fear of exploration. The five-member group- vocalist/guitarist Trevor Terndrup, lead guitarist Spencer Thomson, bassist Tommy Putnam, keyboardist Wes Bailey, & drummer Tyler Ritter- stepped back into their roots to create an album primarily written & recorded by themselves & set for release on their own label, 12th South Records. For nearly two decades Donavon Frankenreiter has been traveling the globe, first as a professional surfer & now a musician. Born in Southern California, Donavon spent most to his youth chasing waves, turning pro at the age of 16. These days instead of surf competitions, it is concert halls that bring Frankenreiter to town, where he entertains audiences with his unique blend of laid-back grooves, philosophical lyrics & soulful delivery.

With 11 studio albums—including 1995’s self-titled COLLECTIVE SOUL album, which went triple Platinum–and 8 #1 hits under their belt, frontman and chief songwriter Ed Roland is unwaveringly driven in his desire to double down on doing more of what he does best – making music, sweet music, both in the studio and onstage. Seeing eye to eye, and ear to ear, is part of the secret sauce of why Collective Soul continues to both record and play together at an uncompromised level of high quality. They were one of only five artists to have performed at both Woodstock festivals in ’94 and ’99. With electrifying newer material that accompanies the everlasting Collective Soul classic hits like “Shine,” “December,” “The World I Know,” “Heavy,” and “Where The River Flows,” these five fiery rockers are only just getting started with the next phase of their thriving career that has moved millions of records and wow multitudes of fans across the globe.

GEORGE THOROGOOD and THE DESTROYERS – “Bad All Over The World – 50 Years of Rock”

On the evening of December 1st, 1973 at The University of Delaware’s Lane Hall, a guitarist, a drummer, and their rhythm guitarist set up on the small bandstand. Though the three-piece band had barely rehearsed, guitarist George Thorogood and drummer Jeff Simon had been bashing out covers of songs they loved – including ‘No Particular Place To Go’, ‘Madison Blues’ and ‘One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer’ – in suburban Wilmington basements since they were teens. The Lane Hall audience was wary at first. “Then it was like somebody flipped a switch,” Simon recalls. “Everybody hit the dance floor all at once.”   “We had the place rockin’,” Thorogood says. “From that very first show, Jeff and I knew we were onto something.” Five decades, 15 million albums and more than 8,000 performances later, few bands can still rock the house like George Thorogood & Destroyers. And for Thorogood, Simon, and long-time Destroyers Bill Blough, Jim Suhler and Buddy Leach, their Bad All Over The World – 50 Years of Rock Tour will be a celebration like no other.   But when asked to pick a career highlight, maybe one night over the past half century that changed everything for George Thorogood & The Destroyers, he shakes his head, flashes a huge grin and heads off to soundcheck. “My highlight is when I step on that bandstand,” Thorogood says. “The promoters invited us, the fans came to hear us, and we’re ready to rock. Every night I play for people can be the biggest night of my life.”YouTube Video

Formed in 1967, signed in 1971, and fronted by iconic vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon’s unrelenting drive, as well as non-stop touring and recording jump-started the burgeoning rock movement in the Midwest. Platinum albums and radio staples soon followed, setting the stage for the release of the band’s explosive Hi Infidelity in 1980, which contained the massive hit singles “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On the Run.” That landmark album spent 15 weeks in the No. 1 slot and has since earned the RIAA’s coveted 10X Diamond Award for surpassing sales of 10 million units in the United States.  From 1977 to 1989, REO Speedwagon released nine consecutive albums all certified Platinum or higher. Today, REO Speedwagon has sold more than 40 million albums around the globe, and Cronin and bandmates Bruce Hall (bass), Dave Amato (guitar), and Bryan Hitt (drums) are still electrifying audiences worldwide in concert with hits and fan-favorites such as “Ridin’ The Storm Out,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Time For Me To Fly,” “Roll With The Changes,” “Keep On Loving You,” “Take It On the Run,” and many, many more.  Charlie FarrenBoston Rock Legend CHARLIE FARREN has long been known for great songs, great singing, and for outstanding live performances. His live solo performances remain the perfect forum for his remarkable talents. Charlie Farren continues to be one of America’s most original and compelling musical artists. He takes the stage alone – and leaves the stage with a roomful of new believers

An Evening with YACHTLEY CREW

For those unfamiliar with the concept, “Yacht Rock” is a fairly recently coined term for the revival of the soft rock and power ballad hits of the late 70’s to the early 80’s. And while yes, a lot of it is overwrought story-driven narrative, the music itself is still a guilty pleasure to listen to, watch and sing along! Although just about everyone appreciates how ridiculous it is to sing along at the top of your lungs to “Brandy”, “Africa” or “Escape (The Pina Colada Song)”, it is a perfect example of the rediscovery of this era in music. Yachtley Crew, also know as, “The Titans of Soft Rock”, will reel you in with not only their great sound but also their silly and fun antics as they perform these timeless soft rock hits by Christopher Cross to Hall & Oates to Toto and more! By being the first to have fun themselves with their heightened ironic songs, they keep it light enough to amuse the younger members of the crowd but respectful enough for those who remember singing along to all these hits on AM radio back in the day to enjoy, too! You will love the look of their thematic nautical suits and highly entertaining, cheeky, self-aware choreography. Be sure to catch this one of a kind show when the Yachtley Crew Pleasure Cruise docks in a port near you!
