An Evening with The Fab Four

Winner of an Emmy Award and 4 Telly Awards!   Ron McNeil, who plays John Lennon, has performed all around the world including Japan, Hong Kong, Argentina, and front of an audience of 30,000 in Brazil. In Malaysia, he was invited to play for the Prime Minister in a special performance. He was also chosen to play numerous shows to promote The Beatles Anthology video release by Turner Home Entertainment. His incredible look and sound-alike abilities have created the ultimate loving tribute to the late John Lennon. Each night, his uncanny rendition of “Imagine” captures the spirit of the man we all knew and loved.   Gavin Pring plays George Harrison and was born and raised in the birthplace of The Beatles in Liverpool, England. Bearing a remarkable resemblance to George Harrison, it was inevitable that Gavin would be in the cast of The Fab Four. His natural wit and charm have won him acclaim around the world, and he is now one of the most sought after artists in his field. Gavin has performed at a number of international, and has even shared the stage with Sir Paul McCartney himself. It”s his attention to detail that makes Gavin the best tribute to the spiritual Beatle.   Erik Fidel a self-taught musician from Sacramento, California, Erik has been captivated by the Beatles since the age of six. Although he wasn”t around on that fateful February night in 1964, he was introduced to the four lads in the same fashion by his parents on an old VHS. He remembers feeling a kindred spirit to Ringo from the start. Since then he has traveled around the world as a multi-instrumentalist, playing drums, bass, keys and guitar in a number of touring groups. He found his niche reenacting Ringo”s distinct chops with a great local Beatles tribute act. Erik brings Ringo”s unmistakable drumming style and fun loving stage presence to the cast of The Ultimate Tribute.   Ardy Sarraf has been acclaimed by both Beatles fans and critics as the best musician to every portray the youthful, Paul McCartney. Ardy has toured extensively as Paul in such places as Japan, Korea, Guam, and Puerto Rico, to name a few…and has appeared on stage with such artists as Bruce Springsteen; Micky Dolenz and John Fogerty. His left-handed bass playing and “record accurate” vocals have won him first place in numerous Beatlefest sound-alike contests. Unlike other imitators, he plays piano on such songs as “Hey Jude” and “Let It Be,” just like McCartney did on the original recordings. His strong resemblance to the “cute Beatle” will definitely make you take a second look.

KC and The Sunshine Band

His music has been featured at EVERY major sporting event in the world including the Super Bowl, World Series, Conference Championships, The NBA, Collegiate Bowl Games National Championship Games, the NASCAR racing circuit and championships, The World Cup, The Indianapolis 500, The Kentucky Derby, EVERY Holiday Parade include the famous Macys Thanksgiving Day parade and the Tournament of Roses Parade, Political Party Conventions, Presidential Campaigns, and nearly EVERY wedding, confirmation, and bar mitzvah in the world? He is Harry Wayne Casey, better known as the founder and leader of KC and The Sunshine Band. The music that got people out of their seats and onto the dance floor originated with humble beginnings in Hialeah, Florida the birthplace of his legendary music. He is proud that “Sunshine Sound” has flourished for over 37 years. “I remember that I always wanted to do something that would make people forget about their problems and be happy,” recalls KC.  Let’s “rewind” back to 1973. The price of an average home was $32,500. The price of an average automobile was $2,900. The price of a gallon of gasoline was 40 cents a gallon. The United States was still involved in the Vietnam conflict, Richard Nixon was the target of the Watergate investigation, University Students were protesting and rioting, and there was discontent all over the world with rising unemployment and inflation. People were looking for something that would divert their attention from the negative aspects of everyday life surrounding them. During this time, young Harry Casey did anything and everything that he could do to further his passion for music. He worked at a local record store, opened boxes at Tone Record Distributors and hung around a local recording studio just hoping that somebody would give him a chance to fulfill his biggest dream…to record a record. That “dream” was answered by a man named Henry Stone who owned both Tone Distributors and TK Recording Studios. Nobody would have thought that Henry Stone’s insight and Harry Casey’s talent and enthusiasm would make history.  Things have changed drastically since 1973. One thing hasn’t changed: The infectious, feel good happy music of KC and the Sunshine Band. What started out as a “dream” is now “legend.”

Canceled – Gavin DeGraw

Out in the Catskills, a man and a woman loved music almost as much as they loved each other. They attended the original Woodstock on what they thought would be their last weekend together, since the man had his draft card for Vietnam in his back pocket. After his service (he thankfully didn’t enter combat), they got hitched and had three kids. The man worked at the New York State Department of Corrections as a prison guard, and mom joined the reserves for college money (doing what they had to do to get by). It was a life of family hootenannies with guitars and drums roaring until daylight, stained sneakers from mowing seemingly endless lawns in the summer, and a lot of time in church year-round. Their boy ended up touring the world as a GRAMMY® Award-nominated star…“Elements of Face The River are definitely my parents’ story,” he observes. “There are also moments of me watching it. This was the record I felt like I had to make. I got to bear witness to the greatest love story of two people who would do anything for each other and their family. They were very loyal and committed. They didn’t have money, but they gave me something way better than money. I saw the pinnacle of what love should be.”Gavin grew up surrounded by this love in the “real” Catskills. “It wasn’t the place that people go to now to pick berries for fun,” he laughs. “We picked them, because they were free.” He cut his teeth playing watering holes anywhere and everywhere around New York. His old man even hocked his demo at bars to get him gigs. “At a young age, he taught me to run to the lion,” he recalls. “If something is scaring you, attack. It’s how I live.” Such fearlessness has defined his career thus far. Gavin’s inimitable voice and soulful style boldly bloomed on his 2003 platinum-certified full-length debut, Chariot. It included the gold singles “Follow Through,” “Chariot,” and “I Don’t Want To Be”—which Entertainment Weekly hailed as one of “The 25 Best TV Theme Songs of the 21st Century.” In 2008, his self-titled second album, Gavin Degraw, bowed in the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 200 powered by the gold-selling “We Belong Together.” 2011’s Sweeter saw him return to the Top 10 as the single “Not Over You” went double-platinum. Meanwhile, his 2013 duet with Colbie Caillat, “We Both Know,” garnered a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of “Best Song Written For Visual Media” for Safe Haven. He’s the rare talent who could seamlessly share the stage with Billy Joel and The Allman Brothers or Maroon 5 and Shania Twain. In 2016, Something Worth Saving incited widespread critical applause from USA Today, Billboard, Entertainment Tonight, and Huffington Post, to name a few.In 2020, he made the most important record of his career. Teaming up with GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Dave Cobb [Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Brandi Carlile], Gavin chose to write entirely by himself. They recorded in Dave’s Nashville studio, playing together simultaneously with the musicians and listening to one another.“When I played the record for my dad, I told him I finally fulfilled my potential as a musician,” he concludes. “He said, ‘Masterpiece’. He was not one to give a compliment for compliment’s sake, so nothing felt better. I was just trying to make something special, authentic, real, and worth waiting for.”

Ripe

Ripe’s new album Bright Blues has an anthemic feel. It is a collection of 12 songs full of sleek grooves and bold melodies that the Alternative-Pop quartet put together to help ride out tough times.    The members of Ripe have never felt more assured about the band or their music. Collectively and personally, Ripe has weathered a mountain of adversity over the past few years, and from those struggles has arisen their best art yet. Bright Blues, Ripe’s sophomore album, is enjoying big excitement at radio, with the new single “Settling” hitting top 15 at AAA and top 25 at ALT with over 16K+ radio spins garnering 15+million impressions and being featured as Alt Nation’s critical cut artist.    Ripe is taking Bright Blues on the road, with a nationwide headline tour that begins shortly after the album’s March 10th, 2023 release date.  The tour will hit prestigious venues such as MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Terminal 5 in New York City and The Fillmore in San Francisco.    Even before the pandemic, Ripe was on the cusp of something new. The band began drawing acclaim from the likes of the Boston Globe, Huffington Post and WXPN with a dance-ready vibe on EPs Produce The Juice and Hey Hello. Ripe built on that sound and folded in a touch of R&B on their first full-length, Joy in the Wild Unknown. Their streams on Spotify surged past 65 million, they conquered stages at festivals including Bonnaroo, Firefly, SweetWater and Bottlerock, and they sold thousands of tickets across the US, including sell outs at iconic venues like House of Blues Boston and Brooklyn Steel. Ripe was still ready to try a different approach for Bright Blues. The album would already be different in that it would be their first release after signing to indie powerhouse Glassnote Records. They started the creative process by calling in outside producer Paul Butler (St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Michael Kiwanuka) and for the first time, bringing in co-writers, recording four songs that Ripe released as singles throughout 2020.   Bringing new people into the fold, even though they’re old friends, was an exercise in trust that proved well worth it. “We used to just all get in a room and kind of hash it out,” Becker says. With Bright Blues, “It was only one or two of us at a time with Noah and Ryan, so our individual voices got to shine more.”   The new approach also helped Ripe think of the band’s high-energy, freewheeling stage show separately from the recording studio, which they used more as an instrument in the making of Bright Blues. Wulfsohn chimes in, “There are moments of improvisation on the record that feel like somebody was just going for it and hitting something really exciting. I’m biased, but I think you hear every distinct voice across the record, and I think the circumstances of the record absolutely leaked into the musical choices.”   The result is an album that shows the full scope of the band’s abilities as writers and performers. The live show has always been at the core of who Ripe is, and now the recorded music can stand alongside it as an all-encompassing representation of whothe band is and where they are going.   Bright Blues also showed the members of Ripe that they can still surprise each other. “Each of us had moments while making this album that really resonated with us, if not broke us open emotionally,” Barthel says. “Having that experience coming from people who you know better than anybody else and trust so much is pretty mind blowing. It definitely left us all with a new level of inspiration and drive and belief in what we could all do.”

NEEDTOBREATHE with special guest Abraham Alexander

Despite a 20-year history that includes all the accolades of an iconic band, GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum band NEEDTOBREATHE came into their latest studio album with a much different frame of mind. They still felt they had something to prove. In truth, this is a band who have loomed large for years, leveraging a unique fusion of modern rock, purpose-driven soul and irresistible pop appeal into a stat line which puts them in exceedingly rare company. They’ve placed five Number One albums all across the Billboard chart spectrum, from Rock and Alternative. They’ve racked up two billion career streams and scored multi-platinum chart topping hits – “Brother” (feat. Gavin DeGraw), “Who Am I,” “Let’s Stay Home Tonight” and dozens more. And they’ve done it all while filling venues across the globe. Ask their fans and it’s been two decades of spirit-mining songs, master musicianship and elemental artistry, digging deep to create a series of sonic monuments to the human condition. Their latest album CAVES is a collection of awe-inspiring melodies, breathtaking instrumentation and epic-scale energy, giving the band’s soul-probing approach a bigger, more expansive new scope.
